Best Blogs

Over the course of the eight weeks in which we were encouraged to blog about E-marketing, I have come across a wide range of blogs from others in the industry. Topics include everything from social media do's and don'ts to SEO and millions of things in between. Understanding how to target customers, get them to take action, and create, launch and run a successful e-marketing campaign takes a lot of thought, collaboration, and resources. Each week I have been keeping track of some blogs I have come across and found to be useful both now and in the future and thought I would take the time to share my top five blogs relating to E-marketing.

My Top 5 E-Marketing Blogs

1. Econsultancy Digital Marketing Blog

2. Marketo

3. Social Triggers

4. Blind Five Year Old

5. The Buffer Blog

As we all know, the blogs are endless and there are many out there with helpful information. As someone who likes quick reads with some humor, I find the above blogs to incorporate one or both of these qualities. In a field where technology and customer's habits are always changing it is important to be able to keep up with these changes or be aware of trends.

Here is a link I have found to a website that lists the top 75 E-marketing blogs and breaks it out based on the specific topic the blog tends to focus on. These blogs are all updated frequently and are loaded with informative content.

As you have researched topics and created your weekly blog post, what resources or other blogs have you found informative or helpful? Is there a specific topic within E-marketing that has peaked your interest? Sound off and let me know some of your favorites or what you think of my top five.

  1. I liked this blog about other professional blogs on e-marlketing advice. there seems to be a sea of blogs in the blogsphire but I particularly liked the "Just Bought Marketing Automation? 9 Pro Tips for Success: from Marketo blog. Since there are so many ways to be connected to your audience and track their visits and responses it would be great to automate that a little bit. The same problem exists in social media also with a plethera of social sites, it's a full time job just to manage everything and every response from those sites. Automating these and other marketing tools will stream-line a person's workload so they can focus on other important things.

  2. Hi Eleise, thanks for sharing the links of your favorite blogs, I'll make sure to check them out! I don't have any specific sites or blogs that I use to generate topics for my blog posts, I just kind of like to go out there and see what the latest posts are (Google news is a source I frequent, I suppose). I think my favorite topic, or at least the one I find most interesting is information about what types of content are being used by on-line advertisers & marketers and how each type of content manages to snag potential customers' attentions. I will forever be intrigued by what can draw a supers attention, be it a video that is about cute kittens, or a really well thought out visual aid of some sort. I've enjoyed reading your posts over the past few weeks, you've done a really great job with your posts!
